Join our pioneering healthcare technology company as a Remote Health Data Analyst and be at the forefront of transforming patient care through data. We’re seeking a meticulous analyst to uncover critical insights from complex health datasets, directly impacting clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. This is your chance to leverage your analytical prowess to shape the future of healthcare delivery from anywhere.

About the Role

As our Remote Health Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and analytical models to extract actionable intelligence from vast healthcare datasets. You’ll collaborate closely with clinical teams, data scientists, and product managers to translate complex medical data into clear, strategic recommendations. Your work will directly influence decision-making processes, improve patient experiences, and enhance the effectiveness of our healthcare solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of healthcare data structures (like HL7, FHIR), strong statistical analysis skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize SQL queries and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load health data from various sources (EHRs, claims, registries).
  • Perform advanced statistical analysis (regression, survival analysis, cohort studies) and data mining to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within health datasets.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) to present key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to define data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Document analytical methodologies, findings, and technical specifications clearly and concisely.
  • Stay abreast of evolving healthcare data standards, regulations (HIPAA compliance), and analytical techniques.

Requirements

We seek a candidate with a strong analytical foundation and a passion for healthcare data. A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field is essential. Proven experience (3+ years) in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences sector, is highly valued. Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical software (R, SAS) is mandatory. Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica) is a significant plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for translating technical results into business impact. A Master’s degree or certification (e.g., Certified Health Data Analyst) is a plus.

Benefits

Enjoy the flexibility and freedom of remote work while receiving competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. We offer:

  • Competitive salary ($65,000 – $85,000 USD/year) based on experience
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) options
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) policy
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Professional development stipend
  • Remote work stipend for home office setup
  • Opportunity to make a tangible impact on healthcare delivery
