About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Health Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for:

  • Collecting, cleaning, and validating large volumes of clinical, financial, and operational health data from diverse sources.
  • Analyzing datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies relevant to patient care quality, population health, and resource utilization.
  • Developing and maintaining robust data models, dashboards, and reports to support clinical decision-making, research initiatives, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborating closely with clinical staff, data scientists, and business leaders to translate complex findings into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations (HIPAA, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to integrate disparate health data systems.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and data mining to uncover insights related to disease prevalence, treatment effectiveness, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Design and implement SQL queries and utilize statistical software (e.g., R, Python) for complex data analysis.
  • Create visualizations (using Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to effectively communicate data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Document data methodologies, processes, and findings for audit and future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Health Data Analyst, Biostatistician, or similar role within healthcare or a related industry.
  • Extensive experience with SQL and proficiency in statistical programming languages like R or Python.
  • Strong background in health data analysis, including experience with clinical databases (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) and data modeling.
  • Deep understanding of HIPAA compliance and data privacy principles.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
