About the Role

As our General and Operations Manager, you will be the operational backbone of our company. You will design, implement, and refine the core processes that enable productivity, collaboration, and scalability across a 100% remote workforce. This role moves beyond traditional management; you are a systems thinker, a culture champion, and a data-driven leader responsible for the health and efficiency of our entire organizational engine. You will report directly to the CEO and collaborate with department heads to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Systems & Strategy: Develop, document, and optimize company-wide workflows, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for a remote environment.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Facilitate seamless communication and project execution between Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support teams.
  • Performance & Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency, team productivity, and resource allocation. Leverage data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Remote Culture & Engagement: Proactively cultivate a strong, positive, and inclusive remote company culture. Design and oversee virtual team-building, recognition programs, and initiatives that combat isolation and boost morale.
  • Tool Stack Management: Evaluate, implement, and manage the integrated software stack (e.g., project management, communication, HRIS) that powers our remote operations.
  • Resource & Budget Oversight: Manage operational budgets, vendor relationships, and resource planning to ensure cost-effectiveness and scalability.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure operational compliance with relevant regulations and maintain robust security protocols for remote data and systems.

Requirements

We are looking for a proven leader with a track record of building and managing operations in a remote or hybrid setting.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in an operations management role, with at least 2 years specifically leading operations for a distributed team.
  • Demonstrable success in designing and scaling operational frameworks, processes, and dashboards from the ground up or during periods of rapid growth.
  • Exceptional analytical skills; proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio) and business intelligence.
  • Mastery of remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Asana, Notion, ClickUp) and a passion for leveraging technology to solve human problems.
  • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority and navigate complex stakeholder dynamics.
  • Deep understanding of remote work challenges and best practices, including asynchronous communication, digital security, and virtual team dynamics.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
