About the Role & Our Mission

As a Remote Fundraising Officer at the Horizon Hope Foundation, you will be at the heart of our sustainability and growth. You will manage a portfolio of major donors, craft compelling grant proposals, and innovate digital fundraising campaigns that resonate across diverse audiences. This is not a transactional role; it is about cultivating a community of champions for our cause. You will collaborate closely with our Marketing and Programs teams to ensure every fundraising message is authentic, impactful, and aligned with our core values of integrity and compassion. Your work directly enables our emergency relief, education, and health initiatives to reach thousands annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan targeting individuals, corporations, and foundations to exceed revenue goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of 50+ major donors and prospects through personalized stewardship, face-to-face virtual meetings, and impact reporting.
  • Write, edit, and submit high-quality, persuasive grant proposals and reports to secure multi-year funding.
  • Design and optimize digital fundraising campaigns (email, social media, peer-to-peer) using analytics to improve conversion and retention.
  • Utilize our CRM (Salesforce) to meticulously track interactions, manage pipelines, and generate insightful performance reports.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to develop donor-centric storytelling content for various channels.
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities, trends, and potential high-impact partners.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Have Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising, with proven success in major gifts and/or grant writing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience with fundraising CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and digital fundraising platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data, track metrics, and adjust strategies based on performance.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
  • Unwavering commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit sector.

Preferred Attributes

  • CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification or working toward it.
  • Experience working for an international or large-scale national nonprofit.
  • Proficiency with graphic design tools (Canva) or basic video editing for campaign assets.

Compensation, Benefits & Growth

We believe in compensating our team fairly for their incredible impact. The salary range for this position is $58,000 – $78,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt role.
