About the Role

As a Fire Engineer at our leading global fire safety solutions company, you will be at the forefront of developing and applying advanced fire protection strategies. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Designing fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, suppression) for diverse commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Performing fire dynamics analysis, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Ensuring compliance with international fire codes, standards (NFPA, IBC, IFC), and client specifications.
• Collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and clients to integrate fire safety seamlessly into building designs.
• Providing expert witness testimony and technical support during plan reviews and inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in fire protection engineering, with a strong focus on system design and analysis.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Florida or eligible for licensure.
• Proven expertise with fire modeling software (e.g., FDS, CFAST) and building information modeling (BIM) tools.
• Deep understanding of NFPA 13, NFPA 72, NFPA 80, NFPA 101, and other relevant fire safety codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual team environment.
