About the Role: Engineering Safety Without Boundaries

As a Remote Fire Engineer, you will be the cornerstone of our project teams, responsible for the complete fire engineering lifecycle. You will move beyond traditional code compliance to develop innovative, performance-based solutions for complex buildings and infrastructure. Using advanced modeling software like FDS, PyroSim, and AutoCAD, you will conduct fire dynamics simulations, smoke control analysis, and egress modeling. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and contractors via video calls and shared digital platforms, producing detailed reports, calculations, and drawings that form the legal and safety backbone of our projects. You will own your projects from initial hazard analysis through to final commissioning and client sign-off, seeing your designs through to real-world implementation.

Salary Range

We offer a highly competitive salary commensurate with experience and expertise. For this role, the estimated total compensation range is $90,000 – $140,000 USD/year. This includes a base salary and is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus reflecting your project success and contribution to our firm’s growth.

Requirements: The Blueprint for Your Success

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fire engineering consulting, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Mastery of NFPA codes and standards, and a proven ability to develop performance-based design alternatives.
• Expert proficiency in fire modeling software (e.g., FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder, STEPS) and CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-engineers and clients.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and proficient in managing projects and deadlines in a remote setting.

Nice-to-Have Attributes

• Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering.
• Experience with international fire codes (e.g., BS, Eurocodes).
