About the Role

As a Remote Estimator, you will be an integral part of our project development team, responsible for analyzing construction documents and preparing accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities

Cost Analysis and Estimation

• Review project blueprints, specifications, and tender documents to understand scope
• Calculate material costs, labor expenses, and equipment requirements
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals
• Research current market prices for materials and subcontractor services

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams via video calls and messaging platforms
• Participate in virtual bid meetings and client presentations
• Clarify scope details and resolve estimation discrepancies
• Maintain documentation of all estimate calculations and assumptions

Quality Assurance

• Review estimates for accuracy and completeness before submission
• Compare actual project costs against initial estimates to improve future accuracy
• Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new construction methods

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Associate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in construction estimating
• Strong background in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with estimation software such as PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar tools

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications
• Understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards

Salary Range
