We are seeking a visionary Director of Clinical Services to spearhead our nationwide clinical operations from a remote setting. In this pivotal leadership role, you will architect and optimize our telehealth and hybrid care delivery models, directly impacting the health outcomes of thousands of patients across the country. If you are passionate about merging clinical excellence with innovative technology to dismantle healthcare barriers, this is your opportunity to build the future from home.

About the Role & Impact

As the Director of Clinical Services, you will be the strategic and operational linchpin for all patient-facing clinical programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, you will lead a distributed team of clinical managers, nurses, and therapists, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. Your mandate is to scale our clinical quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction metrics while fostering a supportive, high-performing culture for your remote team. This is not just a management position; it is a chance to fundamentally shape how healthcare is delivered in a digital-first world.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operations

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for clinical services, aligning with company growth goals and value-based care principles.
  • Oversee all clinical operations, including workflow design, capacity planning, and resource allocation across multiple states.
  • Champion continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives, driving down clinical variation and enhancing patient outcomes.
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting body regulations (e.g., HIPAA, NCQA, state medical boards) in a multi-jurisdictional remote environment.

Team Development & Culture

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse team of clinical leaders and frontline providers, all working remotely.
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, professional growth, and exceptional patient advocacy within your department.
  • Implement robust onboarding, training, and performance evaluation systems tailored for remote clinical staff.

Data, Quality & Innovation

  • Own the clinical quality dashboard, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) like HCAHPS, readmission rates, and patient no-show rates.
  • Leverage data analytics and clinical informatics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for service line innovation.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to optimize our telehealth platform and EHR for clinical efficiency and user experience.

Qualifications & Experience

Must-Have Credentials

  • Active, unrestricted RN, NP, PA, or MD license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state license a significant plus).
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related clinical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive clinical leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or director role overseeing ambulatory, telehealth, or home health services.
  • Proven track record of managing large, remote or distributed clinical teams and budgets.
  • Deep expertise in clinical operations, regulatory compliance (especially telehealth), and healthcare quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in a fast-growing, venture-backed digital health or telehealth startup.
  • Strong fluency in healthcare data systems (EHRs like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to balance big-picture vision with ground-level operational detail.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence both clinical and non-clinical executives.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $135,000 – $175,000 USD/year. Final compensation is commensurate with experience, geographic location differentials for licensed states, and equity participation.
