About the Role
You will act as the frontline technical expert for our client’s physical IT infrastructure. Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:
- Remote Hands & Eyes: Execute complex remote installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of servers, networking gear (Cisco, Juniper), storage arrays (SAN/NAS), and power/cooling systems via KVM over IP, serial console, and video guidance.
- Incident & Crisis Management: Respond to critical alerts, lead bridge calls during outages, and provide step-by-step technical guidance to on-site staff to restore services within strict SLAs.
- Proactive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled remote firmware updates, health checks, and capacity planning analysis to prevent failures before they occur.
- Documentation & Process: Meticulously document all procedures, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to the refinement of operational playbooks and runbooks.
- Security & Compliance: Adhere to strict security protocols for remote access, audit trail maintenance, and ensure all activities are compliant with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).

Essential Experience & Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a data center, server room, or network operations center (NOC) environment.
- Expert-level knowledge of server hardware (Dell, HPE, Supermicro), including RAID configuration, BIOS/UEFI settings, and component-level troubleshooting.
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing/switching) and experience with common enterprise network equipment.
- Proficiency with major operating systems: Linux (command line) and Windows Server.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to give crystal-clear, calm instructions to someone on a hot floor over a phone or video call.
- Ability to work independently, manage your time across different time zones, and maintain a secure, dedicated home workspace with reliable, high-speed internet.
