About the Role

As a Cybersecurity Specialist at Global Tech Solutions, you’ll be at the forefront of protecting our clients’ sensitive data and critical infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits. You’ll analyze complex security logs, identify potential weaknesses in systems and networks, and develop and implement effective remediation strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with our incident response team to investigate security breaches and ensure swift, effective resolution. This role demands a proactive mindset, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of current threat landscapes and defensive technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a cybersecurity role, including hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and security monitoring.
• Deep expertise in network security fundamentals, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure network design.
• Comprehensive understanding of operating system security (Windows, Linux) and common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms and log analysis tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or GCIH are highly desirable.
