Join a fast-growing, mission-driven organization as a Computer and Information Systems Manager—a pivotal leadership role where your expertise will shape enterprise technology direction, drive digital transformation, and ensure robust, scalable infrastructure across a fully remote team. If you thrive on solving complex IT challenges, mentoring high-performing teams, and aligning tech with business goals—this is your next career leap.

Salary Range: $135,000 – $175,000 USD/year (based on experience, certifications, and strategic impact)

About the Role

As the Computer and Information Systems Manager, you’ll serve as the chief architect and operational leader of our organization’s IT ecosystem. You’ll oversee network security, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software deployment, data governance, and emerging technology adoption—all while ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable operations across a distributed workforce. Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll collaborate closely with department heads to translate business needs into robust technological solutions, manage a team of 6–12 IT professionals, and drive best practices in ITIL, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategic plan, aligning with long-term business objectives
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, high-availability systems (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
  • Oversee cybersecurity posture—including threat modeling, incident response, compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR if applicable), and staff training
  • Manage the full technology lifecycle: procurement, vendor evaluation, project scoping, and ROI analysis
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate IT staff; foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning
  • Monitor system performance, budget adherence, and emerging tech trends to recommend upgrades or pivots

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including direct management of technical teams
  • Proven success designing and managing enterprise infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, backup/recovery)
  • Strong grasp of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce)
  • Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect are highly valued
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities in a remote-first environment

What We Offer

  • 100% Remote Flexibility: Work from home—no commute, no timezone lock-in (core overlap of 3 hours with EST)
  • Health & Wellness: 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision; 401(k) with 5% match
  • Professional Growth: Annual $3,000 learning stipend for courses, conferences, and certifications
  • Work-Life Harmony: Generous PTO (25+ days), paid holidays, and flexible scheduling
  • Impact & Recognition: Direct line of sight to executive decisions; your work scales across thousands of users

Why This Role Matters

In today’s hyper-digital landscape, information systems aren’t just support—they’re the engine of growth, security, and innovation. As our manager, you won’t just maintain systems; you’ll future-proof them. You’ll empower remote teams with cutting-edge tools, safeguard critical data in an era of escalating cyber threats, and turn infrastructure into a competitive advantage—all from the comfort of your home office.

This isn’t just another IT management gig. It’s a chance to lead with autonomy, influence company trajectory, and leave a lasting legacy in a people-first, tech-forward culture.
