About the Role

What You’ll Do

• Conduct independent and collaborative research to produce peer-reviewed publications at conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR.
• Prototype and experiment with novel algorithms using our extensive GPU/TPU clusters and proprietary datasets.
• Analyze and interpret complex experimental results to derive meaningful conclusions and guide future directions.
• Mentor junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of curiosity and academic excellence.
• Present findings internally and externally, representing our company at global research forums.
• Collaborate with product teams to explore the practical application and integration of research breakthroughs.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 3 years of post-PhD research experience in a top-tier industry lab, academic institution, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated publication history in premier AI/ML conferences or journals (first-author publications are highly valued).
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Deep understanding of core ML concepts (e.g., deep learning, Bayesian methods, reinforcement learning).

Salary Range & Total Compensation

This is a senior-level individual contributor role. The estimated base salary range for this position is $150,000 – $220,000 USD annually, determined by your experience, expertise, and the scope of the research you will lead. This role also includes a significant performance-based bonus and equity package, directly tying your compensation to the company’s and your research’s success.
