Recent Activity
Join a forward‑thinking team that builds production‑grade AI systems from the comfort of your home office. We’re looking for a curious engineer who thrives on turning research into scalable products that impact millions of users worldwide.
About the Role
As a Remote Artificial Intelligence Engineer, you will design, train, and deploy machine‑learning models that power our core products. You’ll collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to translate business problems into robust AI solutions. This position offers full autonomy over your workflow while providing the support of a distributed engineering culture that values experimentation, code quality, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
Model Development & Optimization
- Architect end‑to‑end pipelines for supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning tasks.
- Fine‑tune large language models and custom architectures for latency‑critical services.
- Implement model monitoring, drift detection, and automated retraining loops.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product teams to define measurable AI objectives and success metrics.
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices for reproducibility, versioning, and testing.
- Contribute to open‑source tooling and internal libraries that accelerate experimentation.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Expert proficiency in Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and modern MLOps stacks (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow).
- Deep understanding of transformer architectures, diffusion models, and graph neural networks.
- Experience deploying models on Kubernetes, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure ML.
- Strong grasp of data engineering fundamentals: Spark, SQL, feature stores, and data lineage.
Experience & Education
- 3+ years building production ML systems in a commercial environment.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven track record of publishing or presenting at top conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR) is a plus.
Salary Range
$130,000 – $180,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience and geographic cost‑of‑living adjustments.
Benefits & Perks
- 100 % remote work with a generous home‑office stipend ($2,500 annually).
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents.
- Unlimited PTO plus 10 paid company holidays.
- Annual learning budget ($3,000) for courses, certifications, and conferences.
- Equity grant with a 4‑year vesting schedule and quarterly refreshes.
- Quarterly virtual hackathons and a dedicated “AI Research Friday” for exploratory projects.
Culture & Remote Work Philosophy
We operate on a results‑only work environment (ROWE). Core collaboration hours are 10 am–2 pm ET, but you set the rest of your schedule. Communication happens asynchronously via Notion, Slack, and Loom, ensuring deep focus time is respected. Our engineering guild meets bi‑weekly to share learnings, conduct code reviews, and shape architectural standards together.
How We Hire
Our interview process is designed to be transparent and respectful of your time: a 30‑minute recruiter screen, a 60‑minute technical deep‑dive with a senior ML engineer, a take‑home modeling challenge (2–3 hours), and a final values‑fit conversation with the hiring manager. Feedback is provided at every stage, and we aim to move from first contact to offer within three weeks.
