<a href="https://wehired.agency/jobs/" style="color:var(--primary-color); font-weight:600;">Remote</a> Artificial Intelligence Engineer – Shape the Future of AI (Fully Remote)

We are seeking a visionary AI Engineer to pioneer the next generation of intelligent systems. In this fully remote role, you will move beyond theory to build, deploy, and scale production-grade machine learning solutions that solve real-world problems. If you thrive on complex challenges and want your code to have tangible impact, this is your opportunity to shape the future from anywhere in the world.

About The Role

You will be a core member of our advanced AI squad, responsible for the full lifecycle of machine learning projects. This is not a research-only or maintenance-only role; it is a hands-on engineering position where you will take models from prototype to robust, scalable deployment. You will collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and domain experts to understand business problems and translate them into elegant AI architectures.

Your primary mission is to ensure our AI systems are not just accurate, but also efficient, reliable, and ethically sound. You will work with vast datasets, experiment with state-of-the-art algorithms, and build the infrastructure that powers our AI-driven products. We value engineers who think about systems, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and productionize scalable machine learning models using Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Build and maintain robust MLOps pipelines for training, validation, deployment, and monitoring of models in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation to ensure high performance and generalizability.
  • Optimize models for inference speed, memory usage, and cost-efficiency in production environments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define AI product requirements and identify new opportunities for applied AI.
  • Stay abreast of the latest AI/ML research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration.
  • Champion best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and model governance.

Requirements

We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a strong engineering mindset. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering AI solutions in a production setting.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, or similar role.
  • Expert proficiency in Python and core data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas).
  • Deep, hands-on experience with at least one major deep learning framework (TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch).
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing end-to-end ML pipelines, including data ingestion, model training, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles: version control (Git), CI/CD, testing, and containerization (Docker).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, Azure ML) and their associated services for data and compute.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with NLP (Large Language Models, transformers) or Computer Vision projects.
  • Familiarity with model serving tools (TensorFlow Serving, TorchServe, KServe) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and big data tools (Spark, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Background in model interpretability, fairness, and bias mitigation techniques.
  • Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or publications in top-tier conferences.

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in rewarding exceptional talent. For this role, we offer a competitive salary range that is independent of your geographic location, reflecting the value you bring.

Estimated Salary Range

$135,000 – $195,000 USD/year

Final compensation will be determined based on your experience, technical depth, and interview performance. This range represents the total annual cash compensation, inclusive of base salary and an annual performance bonus.

Why Choose This Remote Role?

  • True Flexibility: This is a 100% remote position. Work from your home office, a co-working space, or while traveling. We focus on output, not hours or location.
  • Impact & Innovation: Tackle high-stakes problems with a team that values creativity and technical excellence. Your work will directly influence our core products and strategy.
  • Top-Tier Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents. Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays.
  • Invest in Your Growth: An annual learning & development stipend for courses, conferences, and certifications. Access to premium research papers and tools.
  • Future-Proof Your Career: Work with modern tech stacks and solve novel problems. We encourage experimentation and learning from both successes and failures.
