Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop nursing diagnoses.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV therapy, and specimen collection.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care techniques.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond rapidly to changes in condition, initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Advocate for patient needs and ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

We are looking for a qualified professional who meets the following criteria to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care medical-surgical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience with Epic or a similar major EHR system.
  • Previous charge nurse or team lead experience.
