About the Role: The Front Line of Critical Care

A Day in the Life of an ICU Nurse

Your shifts are dynamic and hands-on. You’ll begin with a comprehensive assessment of your 1:2 patient assignment, collaborate with intensivists and multidisciplinary teams during rounds, and execute meticulous care plans. You’ll titrate drips, manage central lines and arterial lines, respond to rapid changes, and provide essential emotional support to families during their most challenging moments. You are the primary advocate and constant monitor for patients who cannot speak for themselves.

Must-Have Credentials & Experience

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with relevant experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, with ICU experience being highly desirable. New graduate ICU residencies may be available based on unit needs.
• Strong physical stamina to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent communication skills for effective handoffs and family interactions.
• Certification in Critical Care (CCRN) is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies.

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $78,000 – $98,000 USD. Final compensation is commensurate with experience, certifications (such as CCRN), shift differentials (evening/night), and years of service. This range does not include our substantial bonus potential or the comprehensive value of our benefits package.
