About the Role

In this full-time position, you will function as a vital member of our primary care and specialty services team, providing comprehensive medical care to patients across all age groups. Your responsibilities will include conducting initial and follow-up consultations, performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing actionable treatment plans. You will work in close collaboration with our physicians, nurses, and support staff within our modern, well-equipped Austin clinic. The schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional flexible hours to meet patient needs, and a manageable panel size that prioritizes quality over quantity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting, managing a diverse caseload.
  • Perform procedures consistent with your training and state law (e.g., suturing, joint injections, skin biopsies).
  • Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in our electronic health record system (Epic).
  • Participate actively in team huddles, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a patient educator and advocate, promoting preventive health and wellness.
  • On-call responsibilities are minimal and shared within the team.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current, unrestricted PA license in the state of Texas (or ability to obtain licensure within 90 days).
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
  • Active DEA registration and BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience in a primary care or ambulatory specialty setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a multispecialty or integrated medical group.
  • Fluent in Spanish (not required, but a strong plus for our community).
  • Demonstrated leadership or precepting experience.
