Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.

Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatment goals, and strategies for maintaining progress outside of therapy sessions.

Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records, adhering to all regulatory and facility standards.

Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.

Requirements

**Education:** Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.

**Licensure:** Current, unrestricted New York State Physical Therapy license.

**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics or neurological rehabilitation preferred.

**Skills:** Proficiency in therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy techniques, and modalities. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate patients and build rapport. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced certifications (e.g., in orthopedics, neurology) are a plus.
