About the Role

As a Personal Care Aide, you will provide essential non-medical support to elderly, disabled, or recovering individuals, enabling them to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Providing mobility support, including safe transfers and ambulation.
• Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding as required.
• Performing light housekeeping tasks related to the client’s care (laundry, dishes, tidying).
• Reminding clients about medications (you will not administer them).
• Offering emotional support, conversation, and engaging in recreational activities.
• Observing and reporting changes in the client’s condition or environment to the care coordinator.
• Providing respite for family caregivers, offering them peace of mind.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
• Successful background check and clear driving record.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Minimum of 6 months of professional or personal caregiving experience (we will consider exceptional candidates with transferable skills).
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility, including lifting up to 50 pounds with proper techniques.
• Excellent time management and punctuality.

Preferred Attributes:

• Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA).
• Experience with dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Fluency in a second language common to our client base.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range:

$32,000 – $48,000 USD/year (based on experience, certifications, and hours scheduled). This role is typically paid hourly, with rates ranging from $16.00 – $24.00 per hour, plus paid travel time between clients.
