About the Role

As our Light Truck Driver, you’ll be the backbone of our delivery operations. Your primary responsibility is the safe and timely transportation of goods using our fleet of light-duty trucks (GVWR under 26,000 lbs). You’ll navigate city streets and highways, adhering strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols. This role demands excellent route planning skills, the ability to handle basic vehicle maintenance checks, and the professionalism to interact positively with customers and colleagues. Your driving isn’t just about getting from point A to B; it’s about ensuring our operations run smoothly and our customers receive their orders on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive light trucks (e.g., Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, Chevrolet Express) to transport goods safely and efficiently.
• Plan optimal delivery routes, considering traffic, weather, and delivery windows.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues.
• Load and unload cargo securely, following proper handling procedures.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and DOT requirements.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you’ll need a combination of experience, skills, and qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B. A clean driving record is essential.
• Proven experience operating light trucks (1-2 years preferred).
• Knowledge of local geography and efficient route planning.
• Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety protocols, and vehicle operation.
• Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
