Job Summary

Idaho Power Company is seeking a Wildfire Community and Customer Engagement Specialist in Boise, Ada County, US. This exempt, regular position focuses on building strong relationships with communities and customers affected by wildfire risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach programs to educate customers about wildfire prevention and safety.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community stakeholders during wildfire events.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, local fire agencies, and emergency management officials.
  • Create and deliver clear communication materials, including newsletters, webinars, and social media content.
  • Monitor and analyze community feedback to improve engagement strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and report on program effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in community engagement, customer relations, or emergency communications.
  • Strong knowledge of wildfire management practices and local regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools and CRM systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $57,826.50. This exempt role includes a comprehensive benefits package.
