About the Role

BrightShield Insurance is seeking a dynamic Insurance Agent to expand our client portfolio across residential, commercial, and specialty lines. You will prospect new leads, nurture existing relationships, and present tailored coverage options that meet each client’s unique needs. The position blends consultative selling with a strong emphasis on community engagement, allowing you to become a trusted advisor in the neighborhoods you serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
• Conduct detailed needs assessments and recommend appropriate insurance products.
• Prepare quotes, submit applications, and follow up to close policies efficiently.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Collaborate with underwriters and claims specialists to provide seamless service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Valid property and casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Minimum 2 years of sales or client‑facing experience, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Strong organizational abilities and proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and comfortable working independently as well as within a team.

Salary & Compensation

Salary Range: $48,000 – $70,000 USD/year, depending on experience and performance bonuses.
