About the Role

As a Health Data Analyst at Remote Healthcare Solutions, you’ll be the critical link between raw healthcare data and strategic decision-making. You’ll design, implement, and maintain robust data systems and analytical models to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across clinical, operational, and financial domains. Your expertise will be essential in identifying trends, forecasting future needs, and providing evidence-based recommendations to optimize patient care pathways and resource allocation. This role demands a deep understanding of healthcare data structures, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and integrate large volumes of structured and unstructured healthcare data from diverse sources (EHRs, claims, registries, surveys).
• Develop and deploy advanced analytical models (statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning) to extract meaningful insights from healthcare datasets.
• Design, build, and maintain data warehouses, data marts, and analytical dashboards using SQL, Python, R, or similar tools.
• Collaborate closely with clinical, operational, and business leaders to define data requirements and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
• Perform rigorous data quality assessments and ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
• Present complex data findings and recommendations through compelling visualizations and clear written reports to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in health data analysis, including experience with healthcare-specific data sources.
• Proven expertise in SQL for complex data manipulation and querying.
• Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Understanding of healthcare terminology, data standards (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED CT), and healthcare workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with data governance principles and healthcare data privacy regulations (HIPAA).
