About the Role

As a Fire Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of fire safety innovation, working on complex projects that range from high-rise commercial buildings to critical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include conducting fire risk assessments, designing fire suppression and detection systems, and ensuring compliance with local and national fire codes. You’ll collaborate with architects, contractors, and building owners to create comprehensive fire safety strategies that protect both lives and property.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify fire protection systems including sprinklers, alarms, and smoke control
• Conduct detailed fire risk assessments and hazard analyses
• Review architectural plans to ensure fire safety compliance
• Prepare technical specifications and construction documents
• Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) for code compliance
• Perform site inspections and witness system testing
• Provide expert consultation on fire safety matters

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection Engineering preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fire protection engineering
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
• Experience with AutoCAD and fire modeling software

Salary Range
