As a Datacenter Technician, you are the frontline expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our core server, storage, and network hardware. Working in a state-of-the-art, 24/7 facility in New Hampshire, you'll ensure optimal performance and environmental conditions for systems that power our business and our clients. This role is perfect for a problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, physical tech environment and wants to build a serious career in infrastructure.

Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Proactive Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Responding to hardware alerts, diagnosing failures, and performing root cause analysis on-site.
  • Infrastructure Support: Managing power distribution, cooling systems, and environmental monitoring to maintain SLA compliance.
  • Documentation & Procedures: Maintaining accurate asset inventories, cabling diagrams, and update runbooks for seamless shift handoffs.
  • Security & Access Control: Adhering to strict physical security protocols and managing visitor/contractor access within the datacenter.

What We're Looking For: The Ideal Candidate

We need a meticulous, safety-conscious technician with a passion for how things work. You must be comfortable with physical labor, think logically under pressure, and communicate clearly.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a datacenter, server room, or critical facilities environment.
  • Proven ability to rack and cable standard 19″ equipment and interpret technical documentation (network diagrams, BOMs).
  • Solid understanding of server hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS) and basic networking concepts (IP addressing, VLANs, fiber/copper cabling).
  • Familiarity with power infrastructure (PDUs, UPS) and cooling (CRAC/CRAH units) is a major plus.
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a CompTIA A+ certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work in varying temperatures (cold aisles, warm aisles).
  • Eligibility to obtain a US government security clearance may be required for certain projects.

Highly Desired Attributes:

  • Experience with DCIM tools (e.g., Nlyte, Sunbird DCIM).
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Server+ certifications.
  • Previous work in a 24/7 NOC or shift-based support environment.
