About the Role: Hands-On Guardians of the Grid
In this pivotal position, you will be embedded within our elite 24/7 operations team. Your domain is a state-of-the-art facility where precision meets power. You will execute a blend of proactive maintenance, rapid-response troubleshooting, and meticulous documentation. Your daily work directly prevents outages and optimizes performance for a multi-tenant environment housing some of the world’s most recognized brands. You will report to the Lead Datacenter Manager and collaborate closely with network engineers, systems administrators, and security teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Hardware & Infrastructure: Perform installation, decommissioning, and replacement of servers, storage arrays, networking gear (top-of-rack switches, PDUs), and cabling (copper/fiber).
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled PMs on critical systems including UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, and fire suppression systems to ensure N+1 reliability.
- Incident Response: Be the first responder for hardware failures, environmental alarms (temperature, humidity, water), and power anomalies. Diagnose and resolve issues within strict SLA timelines.
- Documentation & Compliance: Meticulously update DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools, asset inventories, and maintenance logs. Ensure all work adheres to change management procedures and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Physical Security: Assist with access control audits, surveillance system checks, and adherence to strict visitor protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s degree in IT, Electronics, or related field, OR equivalent military/vocational training/certification.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a mission-critical facility (datacenter, server room, telecom hub).
- Technical Fluency: Proven ability to work with server hardware (DL/ML series, blade systems), rack & stack, and basic networking concepts (IP, VLANs, port patching).
- Strong understanding of power distribution (PDUs, ATS), cooling fundamentals, and basic electrical safety (NFPA 70E awareness).
- Exceptional diagnostic skills: you can trace a problem from an alarm to a failed component using logic and tools.
- Must be willing and able to work non-traditional shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations. Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
- Active US citizen or permanent resident. Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
