Clinical Psychologist in Boston (Full Autonomy, 4-Day Workweek)

Reclaim your professional passion in a role built for impact and balance. We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to lead a private practice within a collaborative, physician-owned group in Boston, offering unparalleled clinical freedom, a streamlined administrative burden, and a genuine 4-day workweek to sustain your career longevity.

About the Role: Where Expertise Meets Empowerment

This is not a typical clinic position. You will operate as a core partner in a thriving, multi-specialty practice, managing your own patient caseload with complete clinical autonomy. Your day will focus on what you do best: delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions. We've eliminated the inefficiencies that burn out talented clinicians. Here, you’ll see patients in a serene, well-appointed setting with minimal administrative interference, allowing you to build deep, meaningful therapeutic alliances.

Your responsibilities will center on:

  • Providing comprehensive psychological assessment and psychotherapy for adults and/or adolescents (specialty areas welcome).
  • Developing and implementing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Collaborating within a small, interdisciplinary team of respected psychiatrists and therapists for case consultation (optional, not mandated).
  • Contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

This role is designed for a licensed professional who desires ownership of their schedule and therapeutic approach, free from corporate productivity quotas and excessive paperwork.

What You Bring: The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a colleague who is both clinically exceptional and professionally mature. The right candidate will be licensed to practice in Massachusetts and possess a blend of deep empathy and sharp clinical judgment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active License: Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Psychologist in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a therapeutic setting.
  • Expertise: Proficiency in multiple evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, Psychodynamic, EMDR).
  • Diagnostic Acumen: Strong skills in psychological assessment and diagnosis.
  • Professionalism: Excellent interpersonal skills, ethical integrity, and a collaborative spirit.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Board certification (ABPP) or working toward it.
  • Experience in a private practice or group practice setting.
  • Specialized training in trauma, health psychology, or a relevant niche.
  • Interest in contributing to practice growth and development.

The Unmatched Benefits: Designed for Your Well-being

We believe that to provide exceptional care, you must first be cared for. Our compensation and benefits package is structured to reward your expertise and support your life outside of work.

  • Guaranteed 4-Day Workweek: A true 32-hour professional schedule, protecting your personal time and preventing burnout.
  • Highly Competitive Compensation: A generous base salary with a significant percentage-based production bonus that rewards your clinical volume and success. Top performers earn well above market rate.
  • Full Benefits Package: Including comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
  • Zero Billing Headaches: We handle all insurance credentialing, billing, and collections. You see patients and get paid.
  • Premium Workspace: A beautiful, centrally-located Boston office with all modern amenities, reception support, and top-tier scheduling software.
  • Malpractice Coverage: Fully paid, tail-covered medical malpractice insurance.
  • Clinical Freedom: Set your own schedule, choose your therapeutic approaches, and build your ideal patient panel.
  • Professional Development: Annual stipend for conferences, workshops, and continuing education.

Our Practice: A Foundation of Trust and Growth

This position is within a well-established, physician-led practice that has been a cornerstone of Boston’s mental health community for over two decades. We prioritize a patient-centered, evidence-based model of care. Our culture is one of mutual respect, intellectual curiosity, and a shared commitment to making a tangible difference. We are investing in our clinical team because we believe that happy, autonomous clinicians create the most powerful healing environments.

If you are ready to step out of the assembly-line model of mental health care and into a role that values your judgment, rewards your hard work, and respects your time, we want to hear from you. This is an opportunity to practice psychology at its bestβ€”on your terms, with the support you deserve.
