If you’re passionate about evidence‑based therapy, eager to collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, and ready to grow within a supportive, innovative environment, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

About the Role

As a Clinical Psychologist at MindWell, you will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, design individualized treatment plans, and provide both individual and group therapy to adults and adolescents. You’ll work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and wellness coaches to deliver integrated care that emphasizes holistic recovery, long‑term resilience, and community empowerment. The position offers the chance to specialize in trauma‑informed care, cognitive‑behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy while contributing to program development and quality‑improvement initiatives that shape the future of mental‑health services in Austin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough diagnostic evaluations using standardized tools, clinical interviews, and collateral information to formulate accurate treatment strategies.
  • Develop and implement evidence‑based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs, progress, and recovery goals.
  • Maintain precise clinical documentation, progress notes, and treatment plans in full compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
  • Participate actively in weekly case conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, and supervision sessions to enhance clinical practice.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and on‑call support for clients experiencing acute emotional distress.
  • Contribute to community outreach programs, psychoeducational workshops, and public‑health initiatives that promote mental‑wellness awareness.

Requirements

We are seeking a licensed professional who combines clinical excellence with a compassionate, client‑centered approach.

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current Texas license to practice psychology, or eligibility for licensure with a clear pathway to obtain it.
  • Minimum of three years of post‑doctoral experience in clinical practice, preferably within community mental‑health or outpatient settings.
  • Proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma‑informed care modalities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations, delivering culturally competent and inclusive care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous professional development.

Benefits

Working at MindWell means more than a competitive salary—it means a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional growth, financial security, and personal well‑being.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with flexible spending accounts and wellness incentives.
  • 401(k) plan featuring employer matching contributions to help you plan for a secure future.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and observed community holidays.
  • Annual continuing‑education stipend and unrestricted access to advanced training workshops, seminars, and conferences.
  • Employee Assistance Program offering confidential counseling, stress‑management resources, and wellness support.
  • Professional development allowances for research grants, publications, and conference presentations.

We offer a competitive compensation package with a Salary Range of $58,000 – $78,000 USD per year, adjusted based on experience, credentials, and performance. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may receive performance bonuses, relocation assistance, and tuition reimbursement for relevant certifications.
