About the Role

As a Remote Veterinarian, you will be the front‑line clinician for our virtual pet care service. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting video consultations, reviewing diagnostic images, prescribing medications, and delivering clear follow‑up instructions to pet owners. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of veterinary technicians, behaviorists, and nutritionists to ensure a holistic approach to each case.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough telemedicine examinations via video calls, phone, and secure messaging.
• Interpret lab results, radiographs, and ultrasound images uploaded by clients or partner clinics.
• Develop and communicate treatment plans, medication regimens, and preventive care recommendations.
• Document all encounters in our EMR system in compliance with veterinary medical standards.
• Participate in weekly case review meetings and continuing education webinars.
• Provide mentorship to remote veterinary technicians and answer client questions promptly.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Active, unrestricted veterinary license in at least one U.S. state (must be able to practice telemedicine in that state).
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in small‑animal practice.
• Strong communication skills and comfort using video conferencing and digital health platforms.
• Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download/upload) and a private, quiet workspace.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic telehealth compliance (HIPAA, state telemedicine laws).
• Compassionate bedside manner translated to virtual interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification or specialty training (e.g., internal medicine, surgery, dermatology).
