About the Role

As a Remote Commissioning Manager, you will serve as the critical bridge between construction completion and full-scale operational handover. This is not a typical desk job; it is a high-level strategic position that requires a master of technical documentation, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership. While this position is 100% remote, allowing you to manage your workflow from your professional home office, you will be the central nervous point for multi-disciplinary teams spread across various time zones.

Your primary mission is to ensure that all systems, equipment, and processes are tested, verified, and commissioned according to the highest international safety and performance standards. You will develop comprehensive commissioning plans, oversee the execution of site testing protocols (virtually or via coordinated field teams), and mitigate risks before they impact project timelines. You are the guardian of quality and the architect of seamless transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed Commissioning Management Plans (CMP) tailored to complex industrial or energy projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering leads, and site supervisors to ensure all milestones are met without compromising safety.
• Oversee the review and approval of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Manage the transition from the construction phase to the operational phase, ensuring all technical manuals and as-built documentation are flawless.
• Utilize advanced project management software to track commissioning progress, punch-list items, and deficiency resolutions in real-time.
• Identify potential technical bottlenecks and implement proactive mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule and under budget.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing complex commissioning lifecycles for multi-million dollar projects.
• Deep understanding of P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control system logic.
• Strong knowledge of industry-specific safety standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, or IEC).
