Ready to protect global enterprises from evolving threats while enjoying the freedom of a fully remote career? We’re looking for a proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to fortify our clients’ digital assets and shape the future of cyber defense.

Salary Range

Estimated compensation: $85,000 – $115,000 USD per year, plus performance bonuses, stock options, and a comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role

As a Remote Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be the frontline defender against cyber‑attacks, working closely with our distributed security operations center (SOC) and development teams. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and designing security architectures that scale across multiple cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or similar) and triage incidents in real time.
  • Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scans on web applications, APIs, and network infrastructure.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
  • Produce detailed incident reports, root‑cause analyses, and remediation roadmaps for stakeholders.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, zero‑day exploits, and industry trends; share insights through internal webinars and documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a remote or distributed environment.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Proficiency with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP are highly desirable.
  • Expertise in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and threat hunting.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing priorities without direct supervision.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work—choose your own office, whether it’s a home office, a co‑working space, or a beachside cabana.
  • Flexible schedule with core hours (10 am–2 pm UTC) to accommodate global collaboration.
  • Generous PTO, paid holidays, and unlimited sick days.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance with employer contribution.
  • 401(k) match up to 5 % (or equivalent retirement plan for non‑US employees).
  • Professional development stipend of $2,000 per year for certifications, conferences, or courses.
  • Company‑wide wellness program, including virtual yoga, meditation, and mental‑health resources.
  • Annual tech allowance for home‑office upgrades (monitor, ergonomic chair, etc.).
