About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic remote team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from initial concept and design through detailed analysis, permitting, and construction oversight. Your expertise will be crucial in developing innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible infrastructure solutions. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from your preferred location within Florida while collaborating seamlessly with our nationwide team.

Key Responsibilities

Design and analyze complex civil engineering projects (roads, bridges, utilities, stormwater systems, site development) using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS).

Prepare detailed engineering calculations, specifications, and construction drawings.

Conduct site surveys, geotechnical investigations, and environmental assessments.
*

Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies.
*

Collaborate with architects, environmental scientists, contractors, and clients remotely.
*

Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
*

Ensure all designs comply with current building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
*

Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers.

Requirements

*

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
*

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and analysis.
*

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
*

Proven experience with geotechnical engineering principles and site development.
*

Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed engineering plans and specifications.
*

Experience preparing and managing permit applications.
*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
*

Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
