About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at GreenTech Power Solutions, you’ll be at the forefront of electrical infrastructure design for commercial and industrial renewable energy projects. This fully remote position offers you the freedom to work from anywhere in the United States while collaborating with our talented team of engineers and project managers across the country.

What You’ll Do

• Lead electrical system design for solar, wind, and energy storage projects ranging from 1MW to 500MW
• Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications using CAD software
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and coordination studies
• Review and approve electrical designs created by junior engineers and contractors
• Ensure all designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and local building codes
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, civil teams, and clients to optimize project outcomes
• Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning phases
• Mentor and develop junior electrical engineering staff

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive electrical engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience in power generation or renewable energy systems
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Experience with medium and high-voltage systems (up to 35kV)

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software (ETAP, SKM PowerTools)
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEC, and IEEE standards
• Experience with SCADA systems and grid interconnection requirements
• Familiarity with solar PV systems, inverters, and transformer specifications
• Excellent technical writing and documentation abilities

Salary Range & Compensation

$110,000 – $145,000 USD/year depending on experience, qualifications, and location. This competitive salary is complemented by our comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal growth.
