Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Analysis

• Develop comprehensive fire protection plans, including sprinkler systems, standpipes, and fire alarm layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform complex hydraulic calculations to ensure optimal water pressure and flow for suppression systems.
• Conduct fire modeling and smoke simulations to evaluate building evacuation efficiency and structural integrity.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all designs strictly adhere to NFPA 13, 72, and 101 standards, as well as International Building Code (IBC) requirements.
• Review technical specifications and provide expert recommendations for material selection and system placement.
• Coordinate remotely with on-site contractors to troubleshoot installation challenges and approve final as-built drawings.

Requirements

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.

Technical Proficiency
