About the Role

AquaVentures Solutions is expanding its team of water resources specialists to design and implement sustainable water infrastructure for municipalities, industrial clients, and non‑governmental organizations across North America, Europe, and Asia. As a Remote Water Resources Engineer, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams spanning three continents, develop hydraulic models, conduct feasibility studies, and ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations and local permitting requirements. The role emphasizes creative problem‑solving, data‑driven decision making, and the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into practical engineering designs that protect ecosystems and support community resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties

Develop and calibrate advanced hydrologic and hydraulic models using industry‑standard software such as SWMM, HEC‑RAS, and Python‑based frameworks, ensuring accurate representation of watershed behavior under various climate scenarios.

Conduct comprehensive site assessments, field inspections, and remote data collection campaigns to gather topographic, hydraulic, and environmental information essential for design validation.

Prepare detailed technical reports, schematics, and permitting documentation for diverse water projects, including stormwater management systems, flood mitigation structures, and sustainable water supply networks.

Collaborate directly with government agencies, contractors, and community stakeholders to align project objectives, address regulatory concerns, and incorporate stakeholder feedback into engineering solutions.

Continuously monitor emerging technologies, climate adaptation strategies, and best practices in water resources management, integrating innovative tools and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required; a Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications are strongly preferred.

Minimum of three years of professional experience in water resources engineering, with a proven track record of delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects that involve flood control, irrigation, or water supply development.

Proficiency in modeling tools such as HEC‑RAS, SWMM, and GIS platforms, as well as data analysis environments including MATLAB and Python, is essential.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with demonstrated skill in presenting technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is advantageous but not mandatory; however, a commitment to maintaining high ethical and safety standards is required.
