About the Role

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor at Community Wellness Center, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, client-centered virtual therapy. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions using established therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Trauma-Focused Therapy. You will conduct confidential sessions via secure telehealth platforms, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and provide accurate diagnoses for mental health conditions.
• Deliver evidence-based, culturally sensitive therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and groups via secure telehealth platforms.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals and clinical best practices.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate holistic care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and supervision to enhance clinical skills.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Active, current license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling services, with expertise in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, or other specified conditions.
• Proven expertise in utilizing at least one evidence-based therapeutic modality (CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused Therapy, etc.).
• Strong proficiency with secure telehealth platforms and virtual therapy tools.
• Exceptional communication, empathy, and active listening skills to build strong therapeutic relationships remotely.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines (AMHCA, ACA, or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse populations and addressing social determinants of health.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral networks.
• Experience in crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment.
• Advanced training in specific modalities (e.g., EMDR, Gottman Method Couples Therapy).
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
