About the Role

As a Remote Structural Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, analyzing, and overseeing the structural integrity of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You’ll work closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure all structures meet safety codes, environmental standards, and client specifications. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to landmark projects without the constraints of a traditional office environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design and analyze structural systems for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Review and approve structural designs created by junior engineers and drafters
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with building codes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex engineering challenges
• Utilize advanced software tools including SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, and Revit
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders
• Ensure all projects adhere to OSHA safety standards and local building regulations

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum 3-5 years of structural engineering experience
• Proven track record managing projects from conception to completion

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro)
• Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM modeling
• Strong understanding of IBC, ASCE, and AISC building codes
• Experience with seismic and wind load calculations
• Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities

Salary Range

The annual salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $125,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, and project complexity. Additionally, performance-based bonuses and profit-sharing opportunities may increase your total compensation.
