Steer the clinical vision for a growing healthcare organization in this fully remote executive role. You will transform patient outcomes and operational excellence by directing our nationwide clinical programs, all from the comfort of your home office. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of care delivery at a strategic level without geographic constraints.

About the Role

As our Director of Clinical Services, you will be the chief architect of our clinical quality, safety, and operational strategy for a multi-state provider network. Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will lead a team of clinical managers and collaborate with executive leadership to ensure our services meet the highest standards of care, compliance, and efficiency. Your primary mission is to enhance patient outcomes while optimizing clinical workflows across our telehealth and in-person service lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide clinical service standards, policies, and procedures aligned with NCQA, URAC, and state-specific regulations.
  • Oversee clinical operations, including quality improvement initiatives, patient safety reporting, and performance metrics analytics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of regional clinical managers and nurse practitioners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors and the Chief Medical Officer on clinical guidelines, provider credentialing, and peer review processes.
  • Manage the clinical budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships for medical supplies and telehealth platforms.
  • Serve as a key spokesperson on clinical matters, interfacing with partners, payers, and during regulatory surveys.

What You Bring (Requirements)

Essential Experience & Credentials

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in at least one U.S. compact state.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or a related clinical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive clinical leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or directorial role overseeing multiple service lines or regions.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful quality improvement (QI) and patient safety programs.
  • Deep expertise in healthcare regulations including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and telehealth parity laws.
  • Exceptional proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and data analytics dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in a related field.
  • Certification in Healthcare Quality (CHQ) or Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
  • Direct experience with value-based care contracts and population health management.
  • History of leading a clinical team through a significant accreditation survey (e.g., Joint Commission).

The Ideal Candidate

You are a strategic thinker with a servant-leader heart. You can interpret complex clinical data and translate it into actionable operational plans. Your communication is impeccable—equally comfortable presenting to the C-suite, coaching a frontline nurse, and documenting for a regulator. You thrive in ambiguity, are adept at building consensus, and are relentless in your pursuit of clinical excellence. Most importantly, you are passionate about expanding access to high-quality care through innovative, remote-led models.

Our Commitment to You

We are a mission-driven organization that believes exceptional clinical leadership is the cornerstone of patient trust. We invest in our leaders with the autonomy, resources, and support they need to succeed. This is not a micromanaged role; it is a partnership where your expertise directly shapes our organizational trajectory and, more importantly, the lives of our patients across the nation.

If you are ready to leave the office commute behind and lead clinical operations on a national scale from your home, we want to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your most significant clinical quality achievement and your vision for remote clinical leadership.
