About the Role

We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Remote Electrical Project Manager to oversee the lifecycle of complex electrical projects—from initial design and procurement to final commissioning. This is a 100% Work from Home position, allowing you to manage site leads, subcontractors, and engineering teams across the country via digital twins, BIM software, and real-time project tracking systems.

You won’t just be tracking spreadsheets; you will be the strategic bridge between the client’s vision and the field execution. You will ensure that every project is delivered on time, under budget, and in strict accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards, all while maintaining a flexible, remote lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Oversight

• Coordinate all phases of electrical projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Lead weekly virtual synchronization meetings with stakeholders, engineers, and field technicians.
• Manage the procurement of long-lead electrical equipment to prevent project delays.

Technical Leadership

• Review electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize project management software (Procore, AutoCAD, or similar) to track progress and manage RFI and submittal workflows.
• Perform remote quality assurance audits and coordinate third-party inspections.

Financial & Risk Management

• Monitor project spend against the budget to ensure maximum profitability.
• Identify potential project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid costly downtime.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to ensure optimal pricing and quality.

Requirements

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in electrical project management or electrical engineering.
• Proven track record of managing commercial or industrial electrical projects valued at $1M+.
• Deep familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety regulations.

Technical Skills & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or PE (Professional Engineer) license is highly preferred.
• Expertise in remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and BIM software.
