Role Overview
Lenox Hill Hospital is seeking a highly motivated cardiology specialist to join its one‑year Advanced Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in Structural Heart Disease, commencing June 2026. This full‑time, non‑ACGME programme is based at the Northwell Health Physician Partners network in Grand Central, New York, and offers a fixed annual stipend of $64,977.64.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands‑on transcatheter procedures under expert supervision, including TAVR, Mitral and Tricuspid TEER, TMVR, TTVR, paravalvular leak closure, PFO/ASD closure, left atrial appendage occlusion, and pulmonary thrombectomy.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiac surgeons, imaging specialists, and anaesthetists to plan and execute patient‑centred treatment pathways.
- Participate in weekly case conferences, journal clubs and research meetings to stay current with emerging technologies.
- Document procedural outcomes, contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives and assist in teaching junior fellows.
- Maintain compliance with hospital safety and regulatory standards throughout the fellowship.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an Interventional Cardiology training programme by June 2026 (US board‑eligible or equivalent).
- Eligibility for a New York State medical licence (or willingness to obtain one).
- Demonstrated experience with catheter‑based cardiac interventions.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork orientation and commitment to academic excellence.
