About the Role
While the traditional view of a truck driver involves being behind the wheel, the modern logistics industry is evolving. We are looking for a Remote Truck Driver Dispatch and Logistics Coordinator to serve as the digital heartbeat of our fleet. This is a 100% Work From Home position designed for individuals who possess deep knowledge of trucking routes, DOT regulations, and heavy-vehicle logistics, but prefer to execute their expertise via digital communication platforms.
In this role, you won’t be navigating highways; instead, you will be navigating complex supply chain challenges. You will act as the primary point of contact for our fleet of drivers, ensuring that every shipment is on time, every route is optimized for fuel efficiency, and every driver is supported throughout their journey. You are the strategist, the problem-solver, and the essential link between our clients and our physical assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Real-Time Fleet Monitoring: Utilize advanced GPS and telematics software to track vehicle locations and provide proactive updates to clients.
- Route Optimization: Plan and adjust delivery schedules to account for weather, traffic, and road closures, ensuring maximum efficiency.
- Driver Support & Communication: Serve as the primary remote contact for drivers on the road, assisting with navigation issues, rest stop planning, and emergency protocols.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all digital logs, electronic logging device (ELD) data, and driver hours-of-service (HOS) meet strict federal safety standards.
- Load Management: Coordinate with warehouse teams and clients to match available truck capacity with upcoming freight requirements.
Requirements
We are looking for a professional who understands the grit and reality of the trucking industry but has the technical savvy to manage it remotely. To be successful in this position, you must meet the following criteria:
Professional Qualifications
- Industry Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of experience in trucking, logistics, or heavy-duty transport operations.
- Technical Proficiency: High level of comfort using Dispatch Management Software (DMS), ELD platforms, and Google Maps/Waze for professional routing.
- Communication Mastery: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; you must be able to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to think on your feet when a driver encounters a breakdown or a delivery window is missed.
Work Environment Essentials
- Remote Setup: Must have a dedicated, quiet home office space with a high-speed, reliable internet connection.
- Residency: This specific remote opportunity is open to residents of Texas.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including occasional evening or weekend monitoring to support long-haul drivers.
Benefits
We believe that our remote team members deserve the best support. When you join our logistics family, you gain access to a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to support your lifestyle and long-term growth.
