Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Opportunity – North CA area

Position Summary

Odyssey Locums is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum role in the North California area, based in Sacramento. This is a full‑time, no‑call position offering a fixed annual salary of $241,697.67.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute emergency care during scheduled shifts (6 am‑2 pm, 8 am‑4 pm, or 1 pm‑11 pm).
• Utilise the Epic EMR system to document patient assessments, investigations and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a 24‑hour multidisciplinary team including anaesthesia, cardio‑thoracic surgery, catheterisation lab, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopaedic surgery, radiology and vascular surgery.
• Participate in the labour & delivery department when required.
• Maintain compliance with California medical licensing and hospital policies.

Essential Requirements

• Active, unrestricted California medical licence.
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum of 2 years post‑graduate emergency department experience.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (or ability to learn quickly).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a high‑tempo, team‑oriented environment.
