About the Role

As our Safety Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our safety program. You’ll be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments, developing and enforcing safety policies aligned with OSHA and other relevant regulations, and leading incident investigation and prevention initiatives. Your expertise will be vital in fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring all Florida-based facilities operate within strict safety protocols. This role requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence positive change.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and procedures for Florida facilities.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
• Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and education programs for all employees, emphasizing hazard recognition and prevention.
• Collaborate with management to integrate safety goals into operational planning and budgeting.
• Maintain accurate safety records and reports, ensuring regulatory filings are timely and correct.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding safety matters in Florida.

Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, along with 5+ years of progressive safety experience, including 3+ years in a managerial capacity. A Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation is highly preferred. You must demonstrate a deep understanding of OSHA regulations (particularly 29 CFR 1910) and experience managing safety programs in a manufacturing or technical environment is essential. Strong leadership, analytical skills, and proficiency with safety management software are required.
