Meridian Health Partners is seeking a dedicated and skilled Remote Physician to deliver exceptional telehealth services. In this fully remote role, you will diagnose, treat, and prevent illness for patients across the nation from the comfort of your own home, leveraging cutting-edge technology to make a tangible impact on healthcare accessibility.

About the Role

As a cornerstone of our virtual care team, you will manage a panel of patients through secure video consultations, phone calls, and asynchronous messaging. This is a full-time, 100% remote position requiring a dedicated, HIPAA-compliant home workspace. You will collaborate closely with nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and specialists to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care. Your days will involve direct patient interaction, reviewing diagnostic data, prescribing appropriate treatments, and maintaining meticulous electronic health records (EHR). We provide all necessary software, hardware support, and a streamlined clinical workflow designed for efficiency and physician well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments for acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging) as clinically indicated.
• Provide clear patient education and health coaching.
• Document all encounters accurately and promptly in our EHR system.
• Participate in regular team huddles and quality improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all state licensing regulations and telehealth best practices.

Requirements

We are looking for a physician who excels in a digital environment and is passionate about expanding healthcare’s reach.

Mandatory Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one US state (multi-state licenses a strong plus).
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Pediatrics.
• Current DEA registration and malpractice insurance.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience.
• Proven aptitude with technology and EHR systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner in a virtual setting.
• A quiet, private, and professional home office environment meeting all technical requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Previous direct telehealth or virtual care experience.
• Familiarity with chronic disease management programs.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this full-time position is $185,000 – $260,000 USD per year. Final compensation is negotiable and will be determined based on your years of experience, specialty board certification, state licensure portfolio, and productivity metrics. This role is typically classified as a W-2 employee with a robust benefits package.
