<a href="https://wehired.agency/jobs/" style="color:var(--primary-color); font-weight:600;">Remote</a> Software Developer Job | Build Scalable Systems from Anywhere

We are a fast-growing technology company on a mission to redefine digital experiences, and we need a talented and self-driven Software Developer to join our fully distributed team. This is a true 100% remote role, offering you the ultimate flexibility to design, build, and deploy high-quality software solutions from your home office, without ever being tied to a physical location. If you thrive on complex challenges, value autonomy, and want your code to have a direct impact, this is your opportunity to shape the future.

About the Role

As a Remote Software Developer, you will be an integral part of our agile product development team. You will move beyond just writing code to owning features end-to-end—from initial concept and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. We foster a culture of trust and ownership, so you’ll have the freedom to make meaningful technical decisions while collaborating with a brilliant, supportive team across different time zones. Your work will directly influence our core product roadmap and user experience for thousands of customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services and/or frontend applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and other engineers via asynchronous communication (Slack, Linear, GitHub) and occasional video calls.
  • Proactively identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for system improvements.
  • Champion a culture of knowledge sharing, mentorship, and continuous learning within the engineering team.

What You Bring

We are looking for a curious and passionate engineer with a proven track record. You are not just a coder; you are a craftsman who cares about architecture, user experience, and long-term maintainability. You excel in a remote setting, which means you are an exceptional communicator, highly organized, and deeply self-motivated.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Expert proficiency in at least one major programming language and its ecosystem (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js, Python/Django, Go, Java/Kotlin, Ruby/Rails).
  • Strong experience with relational and/or non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results in a distributed team environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear asynchronous and synchronous collaboration.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Background in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools (Datadog, New Relic).
  • Frontend experience with modern frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Svelte.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong public technical portfolio/GitHub profile.

Our Tech Stack

Our primary stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, AWS (ECS, RDS, S3), Docker, and Terraform. We are always evaluating new tools and technologies to improve our platform, and we encourage our developers to propose and experiment with solutions that make sense for the problem at hand.
