About the Role
Data Insight is seeking a meticulous People & Operations Associate in Auckland to provide essential administrative and operational support across our fast‑growing data and AI consulting practice. This full‑time position offers a competitive salary between $80,000 and $100,000 and the chance to work in a collaborative, tech‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for all HR‑related administration, including recruitment coordination, interview scheduling and candidate communication.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding and off‑boarding processes, preparing contracts, managing induction programmes and ensuring compliance with NZ employment legislation.
- Maintain and continuously improve HRIS data integrity, producing regular reports on headcount, turnover and employee metrics.
- Support day‑to‑day operations: manage office supplies, coordinate facilities requests, and oversee health & safety documentation.
- Assist finance with payroll preparation, expense claim verification and budgeting for people‑related initiatives.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures to streamline workflows across People and Operations functions.
- Provide first‑line support for employee queries, fostering a positive workplace culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant experience (2‑4 years) in HR administration, office management or operations within a professional services or tech environment.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in NZ English.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Workday) and Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace.
- Understanding of New Zealand employment law and best practice HR processes.
- Positive, proactive attitude and a genuine desire to support teams to achieve their best work.
