About the Role

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit electronic and paper claim forms for inpatient, outpatient, and specialty services.
• Analyze claim rejections, identify root causes, and implement corrective action plans.
• Communicate with payers to obtain pre‑authorizations and resolve payment inquiries.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer policies.
• Generate periodic reimbursement reports and audit documentation for internal review.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of experience in medical billing or reimbursement within a hospital, clinic, or specialty practice setting. A strong command of ICD‑10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems is essential, as is proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) platforms such as Epic or Cerner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills enable effective negotiation with insurers and internal stakeholders.

Required credentials include a high school diploma or equivalent; however, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in health information management, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Compensation & Benefits
