Imagine being the operational architect for a growing company, wielding the power to eliminate inefficiencies, empower teams, and scale systems—all without a daily commute. This is your command center. As our remote General and Operations Manager, you will own the end-to-end health of our business processes, directly impacting profitability and culture from your home base. If you thrive on building order from chaos and leading with data-driven clarity, this is your career-defining opportunity.

About the Role: The Architect of Operational Flow

You are the connective tissue between our strategic vision and day-to-day execution. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will diagnose, design, and optimize the core operational machinery that fuels our company. Your mission is to build a resilient, scalable, and efficient operational framework that supports sustainable growth. This is not a micromanagement role; it is a strategic, systems-thinking position focused on policy, process, and performance metrics. You will translate high-level goals into actionable workflows, ensuring every department—from service delivery to finance to human resources—operates in seamless harmony.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve company-wide operational policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead the design and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor operational health, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for operational departments, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration, breaking down silos to ensure smooth project lifecycle management from initiation to completion.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are exceeded.
  • Lead operational risk assessment and mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Mentor and develop team leads and managers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation or technological enhancement.

What You Bring: The Proven Operational Leader

We need a leader with a track record of transforming operations in a remote or distributed environment. Your expertise is forged in the fire of real-world problem-solving.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Proven experience building and scaling operational frameworks in a company with 50+ employees, preferably in a SaaS, tech, e-commerce, or professional services environment.
  • Mastery of process mapping, workflow optimization, and project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma principles a plus).
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis; expert-level skills in Excel/Sheets and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Exceptional financial acumen with hands-on experience managing P&L responsibility, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and inspire cross-functional teams in a fully remote setting. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills are non-negotiable.
  • Self-starter with impeccable organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Compensation & Benefits: We Invest in Our Architects

Your strategic impact is rewarded with a competitive total compensation package designed for top-tier operational talent.

Salary Range

$85,000 – $125,000 USD per year
Final offer will be determined based on your proven experience, the scope of the role, and your location (if applicable for state-specific adjustments). This role is exempt.
