About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Perform remote hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades on servers, storage systems, and network equipment within the Florida data center.

Monitor system performance and health remotely using our centralized management tools and on-site support.

Execute scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks remotely, coordinating with on-site technicians as needed.

Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with data center standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, ISO 27001).

Collaborate with remote teams and on-site personnel to resolve complex technical issues swiftly.

Document all maintenance activities, changes, and incidents accurately and thoroughly.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Datacenter Technician, Network Technician, or similar role, ideally within a managed service provider or enterprise environment.

Strong understanding of server hardware (e.g., Dell, HPE, Lenovo), storage systems (SAN/NAS), and networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).

Proficiency with remote monitoring and management tools (e.g., PRTG, Nagios, SolarWinds, iDRAC/iLO).

Familiarity with data center cooling systems, power distribution units (PDUs), and physical security measures.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with remote colleagues and on-site teams.

CompTIA Network+ and/or Server+ certification is highly desirable.

Ability to work flexible hours to support critical system operations as required.
