About the Role

As our Commissioning Manager, you will orchestrate the entire commissioning process for new and existing facilities, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems perform as designed and meet stringent industry standards. You will lead a team of technicians and engineers, manage project timelines, coordinate with architects and contractors, and conduct rigorous testing and documentation. Your expertise will be vital in guaranteeing systems are safe, efficient, and ready for full operation, all while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across Florida and beyond from your remote location.

Requirements

Experience

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commissioning, including leadership of commissioning teams and management of complex projects. Proven track record in commissioning HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems in commercial or industrial environments.

Skills

Deep understanding of commissioning standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEBB, IGCC). Proficiency in commissioning software and testing protocols. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem-solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with architects, contractors, facility managers, and clients. Remote work capabilities and familiarity with project management tools are essential.

Certifications

NEBB Certification (preferred) or equivalent. Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred). Valid Florida driver’s license (for occasional local coordination).
